that support persons with developmental disabilities
to reach their highest levels of personal achievement
agency offers homes where individuals are encouraged
to make wise, independent choices in safe settings.
People are supported by positive, caring and well-trained
professionals. Individuals receive the resources
and encouragement to develop abilities such as
daily life skills, food preparation, financial
management, and self-advocacy. Folks become involved
in their communities and develop relationships
with people they choose.
ARC operates eleven Individualized Residential Alternatives,
which are houses with four to twelve people living
in each home, and two supervised apartment programs.
These homes provide around the clock staffing to
support the individuals. The supportive apartment
program provides staffing as needed to empower people
to live in as close to complete independence as
possible. Wayne ARC provides all male, female, and
co-ed residential settings.
